LDS Performers Concert - Friday, February 23rd
Workshop - Saturday, February 24th
at the Beaverton Stake Center.
In a celebration of the blessings of good music in our lives, the LDS Performer's Concert brings you uplifting music by talented performers in our area, followed by a workshop the next day with classes designed to help you fulfill your callings and enrich your lives.
Workshops are designed to provide hands-on, relevant, and useful training for people serving in music-related callings. There are classes in the following areas. There's something for everyone.
- Choral Directors
- Music Chairmen (ward or stake)
- Primary/Nursery Music Leaders
- Relief Society Music Leaders
Karen Porter Karen Porter received her Bachelor and Masters of Music degrees in Piano Performance from Brigham Young University, studying under Jeffrey Shumway and Paul Pollei. Karen was an instructor of group piano, private piano lessons and sight-singing at BYU, as well as an accompanist for the BYU Women’s Chorus and vocal master classes. Karen is currently the Artistic Director of “Cantico: The Portland Chamber Singers.” She lives in Sherwood, Oregon with her husband and four young children.
There is no fee, but pre-registration helps us to better plan the event.

You're welcome to bring a lunch, or leave the building to pick up something nearby, but each year we offer a lunch you can purchase onsite. Pre-registration is required to reserve a lunch.

PLEASE NOTE: This building is not visible from the street and can be tricky to find! The main driveway/alleyway to the church is located on 99th, but you won't see the church until you reach the parking lot (there is a small, white sign on 99th opposite the driveway pointing the way.)
Parking is available on two levels.
- The entrance off SW 99th will take you to parking on the same level as the main floor of the building.
- Parking off of the 102nd Avenue entrance will lead you to a lower level parking lot. You can access the chapel by going upstairs.
